Through original story submissions, an all-Pilipina cast will perform stories of pinayhood that have formed their identity. On March 24 and 26, 2016 a diverse and intergenerational group performers will take the stage to share stories of their Philippine identity. This Benefit Production will aid Roots of Health, a reproductive health organization providing women in the Philippines clinical reproductive services, education classes, and empowerment services. Turn to Flesh Productions (TTF) is a new theatre company based out of New York City that aims to bring new plays dealing with modern themes written in classical styles to the stage, in order to examine the issues facing our world today through the lens of what has come before.
Three scripts will receive a reading in June, July and August 2016, respectively. The final order of the season will be reviewed by the Artistic Director and Literary Manager in conjunction with playwrights’ schedules.
Submissions must be submitted electronically to turntoflesh@gmail.com. Please address all correspondence re: the reading series to Laura Pittenger, Literary Manager.
Only scripts submitted between December 1, 2015 and January 1, 2016 will be considered for the 2016 Reading Series.*

Call for (Very) Short Works on Reproductive Freedom
For a Reproductive Freedom Festival, we are seeking five-minute selections on reproductive rights, freedom, health or justice. We want your bold, passionate, elegant, funny and just plain good writing!
The selections will be part of a Reproductive Freedom Festival in New York sponsored by Words of Choice. Readings of selected works before a live auidence reading will be simultaneously broadcast across the country (and world) by LIVE STREAMING from partners VirtualArts TV (high-quality multi camera set-up with Twitter and messaging feeds). The readings will be in Spring 2016.
Submissions are open to all. We are seeking five-minute selections. They may be scenes, short plays, narrative, fiction, nonfiction, sketches, monologue, spoken word, poetry and more. All topics related to bodily autonomy are welcome -- history, present, future and timeless.
Those who submit are asked to designate a related nonprofit or community organization that they wish to promote in order to open new conversations about reproductive freedom and to strengthen the movement as a whole.

CULTURAL FELLOWSHIP IN ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA
The Likhachev Foundation (St. Petersburg, Russia) and the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Center (Moscow, Russia), with support of the Committee on External Relations of Saint Petersburg announce a competition for 2-week cultural fellowships in Russia (St. Petersburg) from May 9 until May 22, 2016 for foreign professionals in the field of arts and culture who work on projects related to Russian culture and history and aimed at a broad foreign audience. Airfare (economy class) and accommodation in St. Petersburg will be covered by the organizers.

All submissions are considered for productions at BTG and for development opportunities. Playwrights must submit their work either through established agents or by first sending a letter of inquiry, accompanied by a brief synopsis, cast breakdown, a ten-page dialogue sample, and a résumé. These materials will be reviewed and BTG will contact playwrights regarding its interest in reading a full manuscript. Berkshire Theatre Group will not read unsolicited manuscripts. Lady Plays Podcast, a monthly podcast dramatizing new plays by women, is accepting submissions for future podcast episodes. Each episode will consist of a "staged" reading of the play and an optional interview with the playwright. Plays that will easily translate to a "radio" medium and that feature 5 characters or less will take priority at first as the podcast logistics get settled. Plays of all length and style will be considered, writers may submit more than one script. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis, and can be emailed to ladyplayspodcast@gmail.com.

The submission window is now open and will close December 15, 2015, or until 500 submissions are received.
